CINEMATOGRAPHY
This reel only covers a portion of my camera work; it will be updated on a regular
basis as I get more of my material back from clients I've worked for.
I started as a black and white photographer around age 16, when I took a undergraduate
photo class at UNC and later built a darkroom in my closet. I've also been a
student of painting, studio arts, visual culture and semiotics, so visual language
and history is something I'm familiar with. My shooting style differs project
to project, but some common threads are an highly observational/ vérité
approach, minutia, a painterly/ photographic approach, and also (when contextually
appropriate) a raucous/frenetic approach to music content.
